The national history museum is the home of science specimens with over 70 million items within 5 main collections: Botany, Entomology, Mineralogy, Palaentology and Zoology.

The most popular collection is without a doubt the palaentology collection, with numerous dinosaur skeletons and even a livelike robot of T-Rex. From the zoology collection you can find a lifesize model of the blue whale and in the New Earth Galleries you can go and see what it is like to experience an earthquake in an Japanese shopping mall.
