Buckingham Palace is an essential part of any travel to London. Palace is the officiall home of the Queen and other members of the royal family. Formerly known as Buckingham House, it was build by the Duke of Buckingham John Sheffield in the year 1703. It was acquired by the King George III in 1761 for Queen Charlotte.


Palace became the officiall royal palace in the year 1837 for Queen Victoria. Palace is 77.000 square meters and has 19 meeting rooms, 52 bedrooms, 188 bedrooms for the staff , 92 offices and 78 bathrooms. The Palace is not owned by the monarchs but the British goverment.
